One of a series of case studies I worked on as videographer for the World Food Programme Cambodia to promote their school meals programme on social media. This story features So Mon who takes great pride in cooking school meals for the children who go to school in Kampong Chhnang Province.

A social media clip from a series of communications materials I made for an ACCESS-funded project about providing people with disabilities with financial services. This clip provides an overview of the steps taken to provide the service.

One of a series of stop-motion animations I made for Buffalo Sister for use on their social media channels to promote some of their menu items. It was great turning my new flat into a studio. We managed to cut out a circle and install an induction hob under the frying pan so that the stop motion includes some cooking taking place.

More from the Buffalo Sister stop motion animation. The classic falafel salad. It was good to try and get all the elements to dance around the frame.

The ubiquitous pulled pork sandwich. Preparing all the ingredient on the cardboard we used left grease stains, so I had to create an action in PS to select the blue background (none of this colour is in the food) to get clean it up. It’s a bit of a shame as it knocks out any shadows on the card, but looks much better than it did!

The classic Buffalo Sister Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding. We made stop motion animation of all the main roasts that Trevor does (Beef., Pork, Chicken and Lamb) and tried to vary the presentation of all of them to add a bit of variety.

The famous Buffalo Sister Yourkshire Puddings that come with all the roasts due to popular demand. A great part of the shoot was trying to come up the inventive ways of trying to make things look as though they’re actually being cooked.

A bit different form the cauliflower cheese I make, but I’d be interested in having a go at this one as I’m a fan of leeks, although I don’t have an over here in Cambodia. A handy blow torch gave us the look of the dish cooking in an oven.

Part of the Do You Know This Place? series social media videos I was commissioned to make for Wild Frontiers. I wrote, directed and edited this video about Madurai. The videos are designed to position Wild Frontiers as travel experts who show their clients the inside track in off-the-beaten-track destinations. The videos were used a part of a campaign to increase brand awareness.

It was a lot fun making this video about Hyderabad. I enjoyed experiencing the buzz of the city and capturing the characters in the street.

Another one in the Do You Know This Place? social media videos made for Wild Frontiers. Trichy is a magical place with incredible temples. Definitely one of the highlights of South India.

This social media advertising video highlights some of the wonders of the state of Tamil Nadu.

This video is about Mahabalipuram. The first destination on my South India trip didn’t dissapoint.

Making this video about Chettinad was a lot of fun. It was fascinating to learn about a people and culture I knew nothing about before visiting.

This is the Do You Know This Place? video for Puducherry. As a former French colony, the cultural influence is intriguing - I didn’t think I’d be eating croissants in India.

This was my second visit to Ukraine. It’s an incredibly varied country that I would recommend to anyone. From cosmopolitan Kiev to the traditional lifestyles of the Hutsul people in the Carpathian Mountains, it’s a great travel destination.

A definite highlight of filming in Moldova had to be waking up at 5am to arrive at the Candle of Gratitude monument for sunrise. With mist rising from the Nistru river below, incredible morning light and the reflections from the ring, flying the drone over the top created a shot that looks like something out of Lord of the Rings.
