NGO Vidoegrapher - An overview of providing financial services for people with disabilities
I was hired as a videographer and photographer to produce a range of multimedia materials, including photography and video Good Return and Chamroeun Microfinance to promote the product they have designed to provide people with with disabilities in Cambodia with financial services to improve their quality of life. This video gives an overview of the process of providing people with disabilities with financial services. Hopefully it will be a vital tool in promoting the services and will be valuable in rolling out the services to other financial institutions and to other provinces in Cambodia, so more and more people can benefit from the valuable service.
Video Journalist (VJ) for the British Embassy
Nick Sells kindly put me in touch with the British Embassy to work as a video journalist (VJ) to cover the UK’s donation of 415k shots of AstraZeneca to Cambodia. Having worked a lot as a video journalist (VJ) in the UK, it was good to get back in the media scrum and film the vaccines arriving, the speeches and the vaccines being stored ready for distribution. Cambodia’s vaccination drive has been a huge success story. It's good to see the UK making a contribution towards that.
Animated explainer video for UNICEF
It was great to direct this animated explainer video for UNICEF about changes to the protocol to filling out the budget form in order to make the process more transparent for members of the community. I sat down an wrote a creative brief for my animator and worked closely with the client to design an animation that is easy to follow, brings colour and engages the viewer. Thanks to the hard work from the team, the client were very happy with the end result.
Videographer for World Food Programme
It was great to work as a videographer on a couple of WFP assignments for Arete Stories . The first was a collaboration between WFP and GIZ to provide support to vulnerable families and the second was a project by WFP and Koica to provide poor families with take-home meals while schools are closed.
Camera operator and drone operator on a corporate video for the Institute of Technology of Cambodia
It was great to work as the director of photography (DoP) with Pixel Peers Creative Agency on this corporate video for the Institute of Technology of Cambodia. As ever, it was a pleasure to work with Sujash, who did a great job managing the client, directing and putting everything together at the end. The architecture of the building is fascinating. I think we did a good job of capturing this through a combination of drone shots and timelapse. Some of the classrooms looked a bit old and worn, so it was a challenge to work around this using a combination of selecting the best locations and angles and lighting the rooms to make them look bright and modern. Sujash did a great job of adding motion graphics and tying everything together and overall the client was very happy with the final product.
