I was assigned as a videographer by Arete Stories to film a few case studies and footage of the general activities of United World School’s (UWS) activities in Preah Vihear and Ratanikiri. It was a great project to be involved with and it was great to see the work that UWS do in building schools and providing an education for children living in remote jungle areas. Below is Dara’s story. She’s 14 and has never been to school, but UWS are building a school near her house so that in the future children in her village will benefit from a good education. It’s also great to see the Royal Government of Cambodia taking an active role in taking over the schools and running them after they’ve been set up.
